We are looking for a Doctor (Part or full time), to join our great team at Waimate Medical Centre

If you are looking for interesting work in a well organised and supported, modern practice – look no further. We are happy to be flexible to engage you for days of the week and times that work well for you.

We’re a (relatively) small, PRIME practice. We know our patients well – so there is a strong sense of community and care that we bring to our work.

Waimate is located on the East Coast of the South Island. Midway between Dunedin and Christchurch, we’re within easy distance of both towns and Central Otago. Wanaka is a 2.5-hour drive away. 

Waimate is a small, rural support town - serving a wider, rural district that extends inland to the Hakataramea Valley.  Local sports clubs abound – and we are proud to have one of the best indoor sports facilities in the South Island. Walking and biking tracks are steadily increasing in number. Horse and Pony events are staged here many weekends of the year. 

It’s still normal here for people to greet you with a smile and a hello – even if you’re just walking by.

We pay top rates and can provide very high quality accommodation. It might work  for you to  come and work and stay for a couple of days each week.
